Reverse Skee Ball

Project SG-002: Reverse Skee Ball

Introducing the newest K’REATION at the K’ORNER: the Reverse Skee Ball game.  The original Skee Ball game is a game in which you roll a ball up a ramp and pending the strength at which you roll the ball and the angle at which you release the ball, the ball will enter different holes.  Each hole is worth different points pending the difficulty of the hole.

Like the original Skee Ball, the Reverse Skee Ball has different holes with various difficulty levels.  And as the difficulty increases, the point level increases.  Like the Miniature Billiards Table, this K’REATION is just as much fun to play as it is to build.

Reverse Skee Ball Konstruction Piktures

Project SG-002: Reverse Skee Ball

Introducing the newest K’REATION at the K’ORNER: the Reverse Skee Ball game.  The original Skee Ball game is a game in which you roll a ball up a ramp and pending the strength at which you roll the ball and the angle at which you release the ball, the ball will enter different holes.  Each hole is worth different points pending the difficulty of the hole.

In my K’REATION, the Reverse Skee Ball, you do not have to have any strength to play this game.  Instead of rolling the ball up a ramp on your own power, you release the ball down a ramp and at the end of the ramp, the ball jumps into the different holes.

Like the original Skee Ball, the Reverse Skee Ball has different holes with various difficulty levels.  And as the difficulty increases, the point level increases.  Like the Miniature Billiards Table, this K’REATION is just as much fun to play as it is to build.

The Reverse Skee Ball is still under Konstruction.  Currently you can play with it, but the balls will not automatically roll back to you.  However, once I am completed, the whole structure will be raised and the balls with automatically return to the starting point.

Failed K’REATIONS

Not every idea turns out to be a good idea.  To illustrate this point, not everything I make out of K’NEX turns out looking good or working properly.  Sometimes as soon as 20 minutes into the project I realize that this particular project won’t be good.  Other times, I get almost to the end and then I am unable to complete the project for one reason or another.

For every good K’REATION that makes it onto the K’ORNER, there are plenty of unsuccessful K’REATIONS that don’t make the cut.  However, just because they don’t make it, doesn’t mean they are a total loss.  There are plenty of things to learn from the failures.

Case in point, the following projects are just some of the failed K’REATIONS I’ve had in the past.

The first failed project is the attempt guitar stand.  It started off too boxy, too big and I stopped it before it really even got off the ground.  Below are some pictures of this failed project.  Click the thumbnails for full view.

Another failed project is the attempt ball launcher.  I wanted to create some sort of catapult that would throw balls across the room, either to set up some sort of battlefield or use as a arcade game.  Even though this particular project failed, I did get some useful ideas out of it for my next K’REATION.  Here are the pictures of this failed attempt.  Click the thumbnails below to see expanded view.

Miniature Billiards Table

Project SG-001: Miniature Billiards Table

Check out the newest K’REATION added to the K’NEX KORNER, the Miniature Billiards Table.  This particular K’REATION is just as much as fun to play with after construction was completed as it was fun to build.  You can play a variety of billiards game with the added set of balls, cue, and sticks.  As a normal sized billiards table would just be too large for right now, I had to build this miniature instead.  Although at almost four feet long and over two feet high it is no miniature.
