Failed K’REATIONS

Not every idea turns out to be a good idea.  To illustrate this point, not everything I make out of K’NEX turns out looking good or working properly.  Sometimes as soon as 20 minutes into the project I realize that this particular project won’t be good.  Other times, I get almost to the end and then I am unable to complete the project for one reason or another.

For every good K’REATION that makes it onto the K’ORNER, there are plenty of unsuccessful K’REATIONS that don’t make the cut.  However, just because they don’t make it, doesn’t mean they are a total loss.  There are plenty of things to learn from the failures.

Case in point, the following projects are just some of the failed K’REATIONS I’ve had in the past.

The first failed project is the attempt guitar stand.  It started off too boxy, too big and I stopped it before it really even got off the ground.  Below are some pictures of this failed project.  Click the thumbnails for full view.

Another failed project is the attempt ball launcher.  I wanted to create some sort of catapult that would throw balls across the room, either to set up some sort of battlefield or use as a arcade game.  Even though this particular project failed, I did get some useful ideas out of it for my next K’REATION.  Here are the pictures of this failed attempt.  Click the thumbnails below to see expanded view.
